Tyler The Creator & Kali Uchis Perform "After The Storm" On Jimmy Fallon

Last night on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kali Uchis and Tyler, the Creator performed a Roots-assisted rendition of their single "After the Storm."

Kali Uchis, whose complete public presentation is an affected performance, began their set in a luau with her two backup singers hidden behind sparse lights. Kali rocking a décolleté, teased the audience by pulling her epaulet up and down, as her backup singers channeled The Supremes in their sequin outfits to the beat of their own choreography. A smoke machine continued to billow up the scene until the two minute mark, where Tyler punctual as ever, arrived to add his Golf Wang touch.

The intimacy of the record speaks to an ongoing partnership the two artists have maintained. In 2016, Kali Uchis jumped on Tyler's "PERFECT," a bonus treat off his Cherry Bomb LP. I guess, it was his turn to return the favor.

"After the Storm" is the third single off her forthcoming project Isolation, set to drop sometime this year. Her singles to date, have captured a broad sense of taste. The Colombian-born singer is adept at change, as she seems willing to present a fluid identity.
