Bo Angel Obituary Ohio: 36-year-old Newton Falls dead after Friday crash involving a garbage truck on Route 5 in Bazetta Township.
The man who died early on Friday in a collision on Route 5 in Bazetta Township has now been identified by authorities.
According to The Ohio State Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Bo Angel of Newton Falls died in the collision.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred on Route 5 close to the Elm Road exit at approximately 3:35 a.m.
According to troopers, Angel’s gray 2016 Ford Escape broke down in State Route 5’s right lane. When the collision occurred, policemen were already en route because Angel called 911 to report his disabled car to the authorities.
A 2018 red Mack garbage truck slammed the Escape from behind, according to troopers. Angel was in the driver’s seat when the collision happened. The Patrol said that the Escape spun 360 degrees as a result of the impact.
Angel passed away at the scene from his wounds. The truck driver was not seriously injured.
There were Bazetta Fire and EMS officials on the scene in addition to officers from the Champion and Bazetta Police Departments.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
