Hazbin Hotel Voice Cast Includes Keith David, Stephanie Beatriz

Stephanie Beatriz, Keith David and Alex Brightman are set to star in Prime Video‘s upcoming adult animated dark comedy Hazbin Hotel.

The full voice cast — along with a teaser of an original song — were revealed during New York Comic Con on Saturday. Erika Henningsen, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman and Amir Talai were also announced as series regulars during the event, with Christian Borle and Joel Perez rounding out the voice ensemble as the notable demons of Hell, Vox and Valentino, respectively.

Henningsen, known for her role as Cady Heron in Broadway’s Mean Girls musical, will voice Charlie, the estranged daughter of Lucifer who wants to find a way to redeem sinners into Heaven through rehabilitation in the Hazbin Hotel. Beatriz is set to play Vaggie, her very protective girlfriend and a skilled combatant with a heart of gold.

David is Husk, the grumpy gambler and magician summoned to work as the bartender of Hazbin Hotel through a deal made with one of Hell’s powerful overlords, Alastor. Voiced by Amir Talai, the radio demon is the hotel’s wickedly charismatic host.

Brightman — who also starred in Broadway’s Beetlejuice and Netflix animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park — will portray Sir Pentious, a Victorian-era demon with a desire to be modern and cool, who counts building steampunk machines of destruction among his main passions.

Glenn, who has an extensive voice acting career and appeared in Orange Is the New Black, has been cast as Niffty, a character summoned to work in the hotel who isn’t afraid to get dirty and enjoys cleaning messes with a gleeful — yet creepy — charm.

Roman will voice Angel Dust, a famous porn star and the first sinner Hazbin Hotel is attempting to redeem.

The animated musical series, from creator Vivienne Medrano, A24 and FOX Entertainment’s animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, is based on an animated pilot released on YouTube in 2019.

Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of reducing her kingdom’s overpopulation by rehabilitating demons after a yearly extermination imposed by angels.

She’s supported by her devoted partner, Vaggie, and their first test subject, the adult film star Angel Dust, despite the fact that much of Hell mocks her goal. When an entity known as the “Radio Demon” offers his assistance to Charlie in her endeavors, her wild dream gets closer to becoming a reality.

Medrano executive produces and directs all episodes. Joel Kuwahara, Dana Tafoya-Cameron and Scott Greenberg also serve as EPs. Last month, Prime Video announced the series had been given a two-season order and would premiere in January 2024.
